My neighbor, while I had my gold ‘77 Esprit, had a ‘78 Gold Edition in her garage. I worked with her son and he said she never drove it much, but it was all original.

That’s... a LOT of gold though. Like, EVERYTHING is gold. You really got like gold.

Yeah. I’m more interested in the 400/4sp and could do with less bling. I needed to post something car because some of the natives were getting mad at me because politics.

I’d really enjoy a chance to drive one of those and it needn’t have all the bling. The 400/4sp, I mean. I saw one once when I was about 15, parked there, and saw the shifter inside and thought, Damn, that’s cool .

Back in 1988 my dad had a ‘79 Z28 with the 350 and the automatic. Even with the auto it was a lot of fun. Handled really well (for the time) and had great “kick in the seat” acceleration. I rode in a guy’s 6.6/4spd TA, but never with him really wringing it out, so I can’t directly compare - but yeah, I’d love some wheel time in that TA. :)

I got to find pedals for mine. I got a manual bell housing a while back for my Pontiac. Apparently they are hard to find for the B-O-P motors.
